(Distributed Proofreaders is the website where books are prepared to become e-texts for Project Gutenberg. Smoooooth-reading is part of the process--we read books looking for potential errors like missing words or chapters, scannos, typos, etc.) All the books on Project Gutenberg are free to anyone who has a computer.

It sure is becoming a small world, isn't it? And I didn't mean for my paragraph above to be a plug for PG--it's just an intersection of two far-apart groups of information.

Some day, I want to come visit you there at the Archives. What fun it would be to see where you work!

Sue.
GenKnithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12968867557397120634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3230503213872645559.post-33130682687340981742015-10-06T14:16:06.457+01:002015-10-06T14:16:06.457+01:00Thank you Sue. And, it made me think about a new book that's in the Smoooooth-Reading Pool at Distributed Proofreaders. The book is called "Orkney and Shetland Folk," by A.W. Johnston. I wonder if Marwick used this book as a reference.

Sue.GenKnithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12968867557397120634noreply@blogger.com
