The Orkney Archive Searchroom and Orkney Room are open to the public for research and private study.
Archive Reception |
Let us know when you would like to come in and we'll book you in the diary if there is space available. You will be allocated a table in the Searchroom or the Orkney Room depending on your needs. If you just need a microfilm reader, these are bookable too.
Contact the Archive Staff by email or phone.
archives@orkney.gov.uk or 01856 873166
Booking in advance means that Archive Staff can help to find which items will be most useful for your research and also reduce the interaction between visitors and staff during your booking. Any items you request before your booking will be set out on your table when you arrive.
But it is also ok if you just want to visit without booking.
