Here's my attempt: swift, eagle, marsh harrier, swallow, kite. Post script: rook, kingfisher, sandpiper, linnet (and I could not find the 5th one if there is another)
Sue.
P.P.S. If I win, use the money you'd have spent on postage mailing the unused pencil, to purchase something really neat for the Archives! hee! hee!
I thought there was a bird called a skua! but I wasn't sure, so I didn't list it. I humbly relinquish any and all honors to Dusty and wild_nescot. Thanks for the ornithology lesson, though--it was fun!
